About

Why NAQSH

Some objects simply fill a space.

Others tell a story.

The word "Naqsh" means pattern, design, or impression. a reflection of the intricate artistry found
in every mosaic we create.

The search

Not another print. Not something pulled off a shelf in a mass-production catalog, identical to a thousand others. We wanted art with roots shaped by culture, by hand, by a place with its own history. Something that couldn't simply be reordered in bulk.

That search led us to stone mosaic, and to the artisans in Pakistan who still make it the way it's always been made by hand, one piece at a time.

What NAQSH is

The name carries the meaning of the work itself: every mosaic is a naqsh a pattern imprinted by hand, never quite repeated. NAQSH exists for people who want their home to hold something real.

Not decoration for decoration's sake, but a piece with weight a statement piece. Something a guest stops in front of and asks about. In a world moving faster toward mass production, we chose the opposite direction: slow, deliberate, made by hand, close to nature, and never quite the same twice.
